6.      LETTER NO.PART / L-II-B/17(7) /189 DATED NIL RECEIVED ON 08.06.2017 FROM L&DO REGARDING MEMBERSHIP TO MR. DHARMENDRA.

The Committee discussed the above and conveyed no objection to the grant of Associate ‘C’ membership to Mr. Dharmendra, Joint Secretary (Lands), MoUD on completion  of his tenure as Government Nominee as per correspondence resting with MoUD letter No. L-II-B/L-II-B-17(7)/17 dated 23rd January 2017 and Club’s reply dated 7th April 2017.

The Secretariat was directed to complete formalities in this regard.  It was also directed to examine the question of fee, if any, to be charged as per existing rules and precedents. This should be put up at the next meeting of Membership Sub Committee.

7.      LETTER DATED 26TH APRIL 2017 FROM MR. VINAY MEHRA REGARDING APPLICATION (IB-2086 DATED 19.10.1987).

The Committee noted that Mr. Vinay Mehra applied for membership of the Club under Registration No. IB-2086 dated 19.10.1987 in Indian Business category.  As per Audit Report, his application is Non-Active due to non-payment of enhanced registration payment.   As per Club record, the Club had received an amount of Rs. 9,500/- from Mr. Vinay Mehra under receipt no. 0020170077 dated 4th May 2006.

In view of the above, the Committee decided that the application of Mr. Vinay Mehra be made active and the seniority will be counted from the date of application i.e. 19.10.1987.

The Secretariat pointed out that his application form is not available. The Committee opined that Mr. Vinay Mehra may be asked to submit reconstructed application form.

8.      WHETHER APPLICATION OF MR. SWASHPAWAN SINGH (IS-1235) TO BE CONSIDERED IN INDIAN SERVICE CATEGORY. PRESENTLY EMPLOYED AS SECRETARY TO VICE PRESIDENT OF INDIA.

The Committee discussed the case of Mr. Swashpawan Singh (IS-1235).  The Committee noted that Mr. Singh retired from Government Service on 31.12.2008 and was reemployed as Secretary to the Vice President of India on 03.11.2013.  Mr. Swashpawan Singh has now retired on 10.08.2017 from the post of Secretary to Vice President of India.

Since Mr. Swashpawan Singh has retired from Government Service, it was decided that, under the existing rules, his application may be transferred from Indian Service Category to Indian Business category with the same seniority i.e. 29.06.1993.

9.      LETTER DATED 3RD JULY 2017 FROM MS. TINA BEDI REQUESTING FOR ISSUE OF SURVIVING SPOUSE CARD.

The Committee discussed the case of Mrs. Tina Bedi W/o. Late Mr. K.S. Bedi (B-035) and accepted request for issue of Surviving Spouse card.

10.   LETTER DATED 26TH JUNE 2017 FROM MR. PAWAN TALWAR (IB-3540 DATED 31.12.1992).

The Committee discussed the case of Mr. Pawan Talwar.  It was observed that the Card was wrongly issued by the Club as his name was shown as dependent of Late Mr. W.N. Talwar (T-008).  In fact, the application of his Late father Mr. W.N. Talwar was transferred to his mother’s name who was elected in September 2001 (Membership No. T-172).

It was pointed out that Mr. Pawan Talwar was issued a Sr. Dependent Card in 2003 and on the basis of  Late Mr. W.N. Talwar (M. no. T008). Late Mr. W.N. Talwar (T-008) was not his father but based on the card he was issued a Sr. Dependent Card (SL – 213) on 22nd October 2007. The moment the discrepancy came to the notice of the Club, his card was withdrawn.

The Committee opined that as per Club Articles, his application cannot be considered in Dependent Applied Late category and he cannot use the Club facilities.

However, his application will be considered in Indian Business category with the same seniority (i.e.31.12.1992).

11.   PROPOSED PACKAGE RATES OF GREEN FEES IN THE LEAN MONTHS (MAY TO JULY).

Since, the next lean season is far away in time, it was decided that next General Committee may review the package rates of Green Fees to be implemented in the lean months.

12.   ANALYSIS OF FINANCIAL IMPACT OF REMOVING CONDITION OF 15 YEARS FOR SR. CITIZENS (ABOVE 65 YRS).

The Committee discussed the above. The Committee opined that removing condition of 15 years for Sr. Citizens (above 65 years) would require a change in Articles and can be considered as a point to be put up before AGM/EGM.

13.   LETTER DATED 23RD JULY 2017 RECEIVED FROM NOIDA GOLF COURSE REGARDING HANICAP CERTIFICATE OF MR. KAMAL KANT.

The Committee met Mr. Kamal Kant and enquired about the Handicap certificate in question.  Mr. Kamal Kant told the Committee that he had asked the office in Noida Golf Course to issue the Handicap Certificate.

The Committee asked Mr. Kamal Kant to get his green fees receipts of rounds played at Noida Golf Course during the period of which the handicap certificate was issued.

14.  OTHER POINTS;

(a)  Verification of Handicap Certificate / Score Cards from other Clubs submitted by members for Upgradation:

It was decided that handicap certificate / score cards from other Clubs submitted by a member at the time of consideration of new membership / upgradation may be verified from the respective home club.

(b)  Courtesy Interview:

Mr. Ashish Saraf, Diplomat & Industrialist, tested on 31.07.2017 is recommended for Foreign Tenure (NRI) ‘C’ membership. (Nationality: Indian).
