2.    RESIGNATION:

 

The Committee accepted the following resignations with regret:

 

1.        Sardarni Binode Singh (B-303) as a ‘SS’ member.

3.    APPROVAL OF APPLICATIONS FOR TENURE MEMBERSHIP: -

(1)  Mr. Sudhir Puskur Rao, Executive – MD, tested on 20.04.2018 is recommended for Foreign Tenure ‘C’ membership. (Nationality: USA)

7.    LETTER DATED 2ND APRIL 2018 FROM MR. DEEPAK VOHRA REGARDING STATUS OF HIS SERVICE. 

 

The Committee discussed the case of Mr. Deepak Vohra.  The Committee noted that Mr. Deepak Vohra is not getting salary from Consolidated Fund of India and opined that Mr. Vohra cannot be considered in Indian Service category.  

 

The Committee decided that a letter be sent to Mr. Vohra informing that he will be considered in Indian Business (General) category as he is not getting salary from Consolidated Fund of India.

 

8.    CASE OF MR. SASCHA J. MEHRA:

 

The Committee discussed the case of Mr. Sascha J. Mehra and rejected the same. 

 

After due deliberations, the Committee opined that Sr. Dependent Fees which was erroneously charged from his father Mr. N.K. Mehra be refunded after taking legal opinion.

 

9.    LETTER DATED 16.04.2018 FROM MR. NAVIN KAUL REQUESTING FOR REINSTATEMENT OF HIS MEMBERSHIP.

 

The Committee noted that, as per Club Article 54 which stipulates that:

 

“The Committee shall also have the power to consider an application for reinstatement by a member made within one year of his name being removed from the register of Members and reinstate such a member, provided the member has a valid reason for the delay in payment and also provided that the member has cleared all his outstandings before applying for reinstatement.

 

 

The member being reinstated will be required to pay 25% of the current appropriate category’s Entrance Fee applicable at the time of reinstatement.”

 

The Committee opined that a legal opinion may be taken whether the above Article 54 covers Sr. Dependents also.  

 

 

10.    LETTER RECEIVED FROM BRIG. S.K. SONDHI REGARDING UPGRADATION.

 

The Committee discussed the case of Brig. S.K. Sondhi and his request for upgradation from ‘M/W’ to ‘A’ was not accepted.  For upgradation, his seniority will be considered from the date of ‘M/W’ i..e. 17.08.2004.

 

 

11.    CASE OF MR. GAJENDRA HALDEA.

 

The Chairman membership was authorized to look into this matter and put up the details at the next MSC.

 

 

12.  OTHER POINTS:

 

The Committee noted that as per Club Article 10.A.6 (iii) which stipulates that:

 

“In the event of the Member no longer remaining a Member of the Club, the Dependent shall cease to be a Dependent within the meaning of these Articles. However, in the event of the Member dying, the Dependents shall continue to be treated as Dependents so long as proper provisions have been made for the payment of their dues of the Club.”

 

The Committee opined that a legal opinion may be obtained whether the above Article covers Sr. Dependents also.
