2.      UPGRADATION OF PEACOCK COURSE

The upgradation of the Peacock Course was discussed. The members were satisfied with the progress made on the three holes viz 3,4 and 5 by SGDC Ltd. The progress had also been reviewed by Mr. Vincent Pinto of PCD earlier in the day. He had also expressed his satisfaction on the standard and pace of work.

3.      ROAD MAP FOR PEACOCK COURSE

(a)    The Sub Committee discussed the options available for the next phase of the proposed upgradation. The pros and cons of taking up three holes at a time vis-s-vis six holes in one phase were discussed. After detailed deliberation, the Sub Committee decided to propose the upgradation of the next six holes in one phase. The advantages of this are as under:-

(i)                 The available machinery will be optimally used and there will be a saving of overall cost due to no escalation.

(ii)               There will be minimum delay/ disruption due to the monsoons. The shaping and earthwork of all the holes will be completed before the rains. The monsoon months will be used for the grass to grow.

(iii)             Irrigation material has been ordered for all the nine holes together.

(iv)             The entire course will be available in a quicker time-frame.

(b)   In consultation with the representatives of SGDC, the following timelines were agreed upon:-

(i)                 The remaining holes of the Peacock Course will be made available to SGDC by 25 February 2015.

(ii)               Hole Nos.1, 2,3,4,5 and 6 will be handed over by SGDC to DGC on 30 August 2015.

(iii)             Hole Nos.  7, 8 and 9 will be handed over by 30 November 2015.

(iv)             There will be no change in rates.

(v)               The cost will be worked out on the BOQ’s to be received from PCD.

(vi)             The 8th fairway will serve as the nursery for the grass for all fairways. This will be maintained by DGC.

(vii)           A separate contract will be signed for this phase. SGDC needs to hire additional plant and machinery for this work and for this mobilisation amount will be given to them.

4.      COMPENSATION PACKAGE FOR MEMBERS PLAYING ON THE PEACOCK COURSE

The Sub Committee was of the opinion that there is a need for a policy to temporarily adjust  the members utilising the Peacock Course. This will be worked out shortly.
